Een zoeksleutel is een geconfigureerde combinatie van zoekwoorden, die als suggestie verschijnt zodra men slechts enkele letters in het zoekveld tikt. Bij sommige categorieën wordt de zoeksleutel automatisch aangemaakt zodra een object wordt opgevoerd, bijvoorbeeld bij een medewerker in de telefoongids.
A search key is a configured combination of search words which appears as a suggestion as soon as only a few letters are typed in the search field. In some categories the search key is created automatically as soon as an object is entered, for instance at a member of staff in the telephone directory.
Bij andere categorieën kan een redactie zelf zoeksleutels opvoeren, bijvoorbeeld bij een vraag-antwoord-combinatie in Antwoord of bij Nieuwsberichten. Een zoeksleutel wordt altijd gekoppeld aan een omgeving (intranet, internet of extranet). Naast zoeksleutels verschijnen ook eerder regelmatig opgevraagde zoekwoorden als suggestie.
In other categories an editorial team can enter search keys themselves, for instance at a question-answer combination in Antwoord or at Nieuwsberichten. A search key is always linked to an environment (intranet, internet or extranet). Besides search keys, search words that were regularly requested earlier also appear as suggestions.
Het is ook mogelijk op basis van url’s externe content op te nemen in de zoekindex, bijvoorbeeld die van Samenwerkende Catalogi. Voordeel is dat die content niet standaard onderaan de zoekresultaten verschijnt, maar wordt meegenomen in de formule om de volgorde van de zoekresultaten te bepalen.
It is also possible to include external content in the search index on the basis of URLs, for instance that of Samenwerkende Catalogi. The advantage is that this content does not appear at the bottom of the search results by default, but is taken along in the formula for determining the order of the search results.
